Leo Carrilo

Ooops, it's been a while since last post.

I went to Leo Calliro in north LA county to pick up some west swell surf. Water was super cold, below 55 degree or something. I hope it warms up soon but new storm is on the way to southern california...

Leo is always an option when Malibu is packed. You have really clean point break at the point and some hollow waves when tide and size match.

Best condition at Leo.
Direction: SSE, S, SW, WSW
Wind:       NW winds are offshore
Tide:        Medium
Size:        Waist high to double overhead

A thrilling game in the morning

We beat Korea in penalty shootout in the Asian cup soccer tournament in this morning. One of the most exciting games and fun to watch! One more game to win the title but Aussie team is a quite tough cookie so it's not going to be easy game..
Kagawa is the badass!!!

Summer malibu in January???

Great weather, air temp over 80's, no wind and glassy condition. Water is still cold though.
A lot of waiting for set to set but I had a couple of good ones. It's so sick!!!
Morning session and took lunch and waiting till tide pushing up certain hight then scored second session in the evening. Another fun classic malibu day.
Let's see how next swell is going to be from Wednesday.

High pressure covers over Socal

It's going to be summer like temperature from today through whole next week and Santa Ana wind blows which means we have offshore at south facing beaches! Hopefully, new swell reaches and shows a bit from today.

I usually check surf conditions through 3 major surfforecast websites, Surfline,Wetsand and Solspot. I somewhat like Solspot but Wetsand is more reliable. If you have not checked out these, take a look at what they look like before you head to the beach.

Have a good one!
